Biography
Simone Buso was born in Padova, Italy, on February 6, 1968. In 1992 he graduated cum laude in Electronic Engineering at the University of Padova, Padova, Italy. His master thesis was entitled "Raddrizzatori ad alto fattore di potenza per lampade a fluorescenza compatte" (“High quality rectifiers for compact fluorescent lamps”). After his graduation, he has been working for Ansaldo Ricerche, Genova, Italy, on a research project concerning novel converter topologies for high power adjustable speed drives. In 1993, Simone Buso began to work towards the Ph. D. in Industrial Informatic and Electronic Engineering at the Power Electronics Laboratory of the University of Padova. In 1996 he received the Ph. D. with a thesis entitled “Controllo Robusto di Convertitori Elettronici di Potenza” (Robust Control of Electronic Power Converters). Since November 1997 he is a researcher at the Department of Electronics and Informatics of the University of Padova.
